Does the World Need the Church?

Almost everyday it seems we hear another story of corruption, abuse, exploitation of power and

financial impropriety. But these stories often aren't from national dictators or shady CEO's.

They're often stories about churches, Church staff members, & Pastors.

And yes, we read about it on our newsfeeds, but nearly all of us ALSO have a personal story. A Christian or Christian leader who wounded you, gossiped about you, overlooked you, judged you or betrayed you. And sometimes you may have thought this: "Ok, maybe Jesus IS legit. But do I really need to be a part of an organized religious institution? Don't they often cause more harm than good?"

Does the world even need the church? Do I?
